Lizbette Alcantara, DMD

Born in Astoria, Queens, New York, Dr. Alcantara graduated from the dental hygiene program at Farmingdale State College, where she later obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Science & Technology with a minor in Chemistry. After working as a hygienist for several years, Dr. Alcantara achieved her dream of providing comprehensive dental care to patients by advancing her education. In 2020, Dr. Alcantara earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, she completed an Advanced Periodontology program.   

Dr. Alcantara completed a general practice residency at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where she enriched her clinical skills.  

Her passion for service prompted her to volunteer for a number of community service events and various global service learning trips. She has provided dental services in Guatemala, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. Dr. Alcantara takes pride in being able to give back to global, as well as local communities.

In her free time, Dr. Alcantara loves to travel, learn about different cultures and foods, and spend time with her family.
